Its shaping is such that the flat part at the top sweeps back slightly toward the rider, bringing the bar closer, and the drop (bottom) flares out 4°. But the important part is the ramp just behind the bar, where the brake lever fits. Many riders place their hands there, and if the slope is too steep, there is no support and the hands can slide forward or down.
